Somto, a precocious ten-year old girl, is grappling with the recent death of her mother and her growing disbelief in prayer. Spending the day at her grandmother’s, Somto confides in her aunt, whose answer does little to console her.
Later, when asked to pray for her ailing grandmother, Somto is at a loss. She is eventually tasked with finding another way to communicate with God from the person she least expected: her religious grandmother.
