In our story, Marlana is the glittering prize for Jibril but her affection isn’t worth much because she doesn’t have eyes for him. His best friend Tawanda knows this but she wants him to learn his own lesson. She knows that this miniature heartbreak will help him in the future. Might she be the gold?

About the Filmmaker

Christian is a proud Atlanta visual artist & storyteller who attended Howard University & NYU. In fall 2021, he directed an episode of Issa Rae's newest show RAP SH*T for HBO Max. His last short film, BROWN WITH BLUE, had an amazing film festival run and was chosen to premiere on Issa Rae's platform "Short Film Sundays" in December 2020.
