About the Filmmaker

Alexander is an award-winning writer/director based in Austin, TX. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BFA earning the Outstanding Graduating Senior in Film/Video. Alexander freelanced in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex before becoming a candidate for an MFA in Film & Media Production at the University of Texas at Austin, where he currently attends. He was recently awarded a grant for his Pre-Thesis, Tejano Night, for his dedication to promote and inspire the continuing exploration of Latinx narratives in film and media. His award-winning films have been screened at the Austin Film Festival, Philadelphia Latino, and the Short Corner at the Festival De Cannes (while he was in High School)
